MOGAD Awareness Month 2026

MOGADVOCACY®: ADVOCATE. EDUCATE. EMPOWER.

April is MOGAD Awareness Month — a time to come together as a global community to raise awareness, share experiences, and advocate for progress in Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody Disease.

This year’s theme, MOGADvocacy®, highlights the power of patients, caregivers, clinicians, and advocates working together to improve outcomes and accelerate research.

Hear directly from members of the community about their journeys with MOGAD, how The MOG Project has supported them, and their hopes for the future.

What is MOGAD?

Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody Disease (MOGAD) is a rare neuroimmune condition in which the immune system attacks the central nervous system.

It can affect both children and adults and may cause:

  • Vision loss (optic neuritis)
  • Spinal cord inflammation (transverse myelitis)
  • Brain inflammation (ADEM)
  • And more

Awareness is critical — earlier recognition can lead to faster diagnosis and more appropriate treatment.

Weekly Infographics: Learn & Share

This year we partnered with UCB to create this series of infographics designed to empower your MOGADvocacy® journey. A different infographic will be revealed as each week progresses!

We thank UCB for their support.
