Propulsion Survey #2: Diagnosis Experience & Quality of Life in MOGAD Patients

The MOG Project is pleased to share results from our first Propulsion Survey! This survey was created in collaboration with Yana Said and Dr. Elias Sotirchos from Johns Hopkins.

The objective of this survey was to assess different QoL domains including anxiety, depression, and stigma in people with MOGAD, and to understand the impact of the disease on their cognitive function and social roles. This survey was distributed through our online platforms. Demographic and clinical characteristics were collected from the 259 participants and QoL was assessed using the QoL in Neurological Disorders (Neuro-QoL) short questionnaires in pediatric and adult patients, with scores compared to reference populations, yielding standardized T-scores. Please see the poster for the results below that were presented at ACTRIMS in 2024.

It is important to note that due to recruiting methodology, this respondent pool may skew towards patients with more severe cases of MOGAD.
