MOG Project Children's Ambassadors

The image has three sections. The first has a boy named gage standing in a Cartoon Carnival. He is wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans, holding a handful of balloons. His caption reads, Always be positive, Gage, MOGAD/ADEM-ON. The second image has Virginia, a girl with long dark hair, holding a big teddy bear and smiling. There are hearts all around her. Her caption reads, Let you light shine through even on the cloudiest days. Virginia, MOGAD/ON. The third is of Isabel, a girl on a cartoon beach. She has long dark hair and is wearing a MOG Project t-shirt and giving a peace sign, smiling. Her caption says, Never give up hope, it's what keeps me moving forward. Isabell, MOGAD/ON.

Our MOG Project Children’s Ambassador Program is our way to honor kids with MOGAD and the courage, strength, resilience, determination and tenacity they have shown in fighting through their horrible and scary experience with MOGAD. They are true Hummingbird Warriors; the embodiment of the international symbol of hope and we look to them for inspiration as our community grows.

While not necessary as part of being a MOG Project Children’s Ambassador, this can also be a great way to get kids who have MOGAD involved in advocacy for MOG Antibody Disease (MOGAD). If they choose, this can be a great opportunity to inspire hope by empowering them to do something good to help kids in their local community

Here are a few suggestions that a MOG Project Children’s Ambassador might be interested in doing that can make a MOGnificent difference in the lives of MOGAD patients if they choose to do so:

  • School Projects: teach others in their school about MOGAD.
  • Hold a school or local event to raise funds for The MOG Project through our Partners for Progress Campaign.
  • Help us send a special gift to sick kids with MOGAD in the hospital or just to bring their spirits up!
  • Start a support group!
  • Get creative! Find a fun activity for your local MOG Mates to bring kids with MOGAD together.

We welcome kids who have MOGAD under the age of 18 nominated by a parent or guardian. For those kids who do not have MOGAD, but want to get involved, please visit our MOG Project Youth Champion page. To nominate your child, please fill out the form below:cc
