Grand Mal Siezure

Causes a sudden loss of consciousness and violent muscle contractions called tonic (stiffening) and clonic (twitching or jerking) muscle acitivity. It is caused by abnormal electrical activity throughout the brain. Usually followed by a period where patient is postictal. May be a symptom of MOGAD from disease process in the brain or a medication side effect.
