EEG (Electroencephalography)

A test that measures electrical activity in the brain using small, metal discs (electrodes) attached to the scalp. Brain cells communicate via electrial impulses and are active all the time, even during sleep. The activity shows as waving lines on an EEG recording. It is used to find changes in brain activity and is important in detecting seizures.
